Problem. Person.

As long as we cultivate the belief that the person is, who we are, and therefore declare ourselves as the centre of life, the path of suffering and destruction is our destiny.
We can make all the efforts we want, the personal identity will always create imbalance and destruction, it is her nature, it can use no other than its own interpretations of reality to justify its self-creating and dysfunctional structures. As a consequence it needs a defend-system to protect its unsustainable identity and this leads inevitable to violence, repression, conflict, abuse, and war.
When we speak about the person, we don't refer to the natural function of being an individual human being, but about its pathological aspects, which we can summarise as THE IDENTIFICATION WITH THE PERSON. The person is not the problem in itself, but that we think and believe that we are only the person and accordingly building our individual and social life around it.
Our history leaves no doubt that the identification with the person makes this beautiful planet to hell, we just have to open any history book to confirm this or looking at the current state of our society. With each progress, new problems arise, and the problems become bigger and more threatening as identification with the person increase.
We have the power and the ability to make a mess of epical scales, destroy ourselves and the planet, we already live in the hell we have created. Perhaps it is our destiny to kill ourselves and to turn the earth into a desert. This viewpoint is not negative, it describes the actual state. Thinking and acting positively will not help, meanwhile we don't know who thinks. A Chinese quote says a wrong man with the right means will do wrong.
Since the identification with the person is the root-problem, the solution we find in the problem. The no-identification with the person. When we reach the next level of consciousness, the transindividual, the person will be integrated with all its aspects, and then we can use the person in its natural context and not being used by it. And from that moment on, it starts to get fascinating.
If we had any idea of what it means to be a transindividual being, we will drop the identification with the person in that very moment and our drama will come to an end.

“If we had any idea of what it means to be a transindividual being, we will drop the identification with the person in that very moment and our drama will come to an end.”.
