Silent Serenity — Stillness Is the End of Our Inner Conflict

Stillness is the source. We drink from its life-giving peace, which gives us the strength to face whatever comes.

In stillness, our search comes to an end. No more hunger for more and more. The passionate and constant desire for new experiences has evaporated like smoke in the wind. Experiencing the world in stillness is the healing in the wounds of our personal lives. A joyful awareness replaces the profound feeling of separation.

We can relax when the mind becomes still. What for a beautiful liberation when we just can be as we are. Maybe words, emotions or feelings try to make noise, and they will, but we take them all with us into the stillness and all is fine.

Stillness is the source. We drink from its life-giving peace, which gives us the strength to face whatever comes. The stones, plants and animals are still, observe them and learn. When we forget, nature helps us to remember, through it, we can reconnect with the essence of life.

When ordinary everyday life becomes too much, go into nature, it will lift you up again. Stillness lives in the space between things, the space that connects everything. Be aware of this space and serenity will come. In modern society, stillness is the perfect antidote to the endless and overflowing flood of information.

The good thing is, we need nothing to practice it in any place we can connect with stillness. It is one of the most powerful tools in our evolution as human, and it is free.
