The Paradoxes of Our Existence — Life’s Contradictions for True Freedom

It is useless to describe what it is like to be free — But deep inside we can feel it already

A house without a foundation.
A boat without the sea.
A laugh without a heart.
Understanding without experience.

How can we live without
foundation, sea, heart and experience?
We cannot, yet we hold on to this belief,
like drowning in the sea of opportunities.

We want the impossible.

Happiness without pain.
Possession without loss.
Joy without sorrow.
Life without death.

We are children in the supermarket.
Wanting is what motivates us.
Getting our purpose.
We sell our souls to the one who promises us that.

There is another way.
We have to go through hell on earth first.
Our suffering is the first grace.
It forces us to change.

I have not made the rule.
But it is clear that this is the way.
If we have walked it,
we know it can be done without drama.

When we give up all hope.
Throw our little self into the fire
of cosmic love and understanding.
Then we are free.

It is useless to describe what it is like to be free.
A slave cannot understand it, only sense it.
Deep inside, he feels it.
The splendor of consciously surrendering to life.
